Case Study: Emotional Dysregulation: 15-Year-Old Female

A 15 year-old female presented to CFNC complaining of focus and concentration issues, forgetfulness, feeling unmotivated, emotional dysregulation, acne and heat intolerance.

Upon examination, we found irregular pupillary light reflex, sensation to the face, difficulty with eye movements up and down, accommodation spasm and mildly reduced balance.

The patient was seen twice per week for five weeks. Treatment consisted of blood sugar regulation, neurosensorimotor integration, vestibular rehabilitation, oculomotor therapy, peripheral nerve stimulation, Bemer therapy, red and near infrared light and interactive metronome.

At the re-examination, the patient reported improvement in motivation, focus and attention, forgetfulness, sleep, acne, emotional dysregulation and heat intolerance.
