Case Study: Emotional Dysregulation: 15-Year-Old Female

Introduction

A 15 year-old female presented to CFNC complaining of focus and concentration issues, forgetfulness, feeling unmotivated, emotional dysregulation, acne and heat intolerance. 


Examination 

Upon examination, we found irregular pupillary light reflex, sensation to the face, difficulty with eye movements up and down, accommodation spasm and mildly reduced balance.


Treatment

The patient was seen twice per week for five weeks. Treatment consisted of blood sugar regulation, neurosensorimotor integration, vestibular rehabilitation, oculomotor therapy, peripheral nerve stimulation, Bemer therapy, red and near infrared light and interactive metronome. 


Results

At the re-examination, the patient reported improvement in motivation, focus and attention, forgetfulness, sleep, acne, emotional dysregulation and heat intolerance. 


Conclusion
