Case Study: Dysautonomia: 32-Year-Old Female

A 32-year-old female presented to CFNC with complaints of tachycardia (rated as a 10/10), headaches and migraines (rated as a 8/10), dizziness (rated as a 6/10) and fatigue (rated as a 6/10).


Examination 

Her examination showed instability with head thrust and doll eyes, an accommodation spasm in darkness,  abnormal pupillary light reflex, and instability with divergence.


Treatment

Treatment consisted of two appointments per week for six weeks. Treatment consisted of Bemer therapy, peripheral nerve stimulation, eye movement exercises, balance exercises, red and near infrared light therapy, and dietary modifications. 


Results

At the end of treatment, the patient reported a 95% improvement in symptoms. Her tachycardia was now rated as 1/10, headaches and migraines 3/10, fatigue 2/10, and dizziness 0/10.


Conclusion
