Case Study: Behavioral Issues: 8-Year-Old Male

Introduction
An 8 year-old presented to CFNC complaining of sensory processing difficulties, behavioral issues, issues with toileting, and motor difficulties. He has a previous diagnosis of Grey Matter Heteropia.
Examination
Upon examination, we found retained primitive reflexes, irregular eye movements with targets moving to the left, difficulty with cerebellar testing on the right body, and diminished oxygen saturation on the left side.
Treatment
The patient was seen twice per week for eight weeks. Treatment consisted of GyroStim, neurosensorimotor integration, peripheral nerve stimulation, primitive reflex remediation, and interactive metronome.
Results
At his last check in, the patient reported that he was able to graduate from OT, he had no flopping or falls, had no bathroom issues, and his behavioral and sensory issues were good!
Conclusion
Patients of all ages can benefit from functional neurology and individualized neuro rehab.
